EIGHT MISCREANTS WITH CACHE OF ARMS ARRESTED

Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested eight miscreants with cache of arms when they were going to commit crime including the dreaded sand mafia Satyendra Pandey.  The police recovered five regular rifles, one SLR, three country made pistols, 10 live cartridges of SLR, 74 live cartridges of 9MM caliber and 86 live cartridges of 7.5 calibre, three magazinea of SLR, three mobiles, one motorcycles and Rs. 7 lakh in cash. Police are still conducting raids to arrest other members of the gang. The arrested miscreants were identified as Satyendra Pandey, Neeraj Pandey, Arun Kumar, Padmakar Pandey, Suraj Pandey, Sanjay Pandey, Nitish Kumar and Ranjeet Kumar. A number of crimijnal cases are pending against them with the police under different police station of Bhojpur district. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police station against them. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that a dreaded sand mafia along with associates was going to commit crime. He at once formed a police team under the ASP Chandra Prakash and the police team and the police conducted raids at Kalamuchak area under Koelwar police station. Seeing the police the miscreants fired and tried to escape and the police also retaliated in the same manner. Later Satyendra Pandey surrendered before the police and police arrested all of them. The SP stated that the arrest of Satyendra Pandey was a challenge for the Bhojpur police and the police heaved a sigh of relief after his arrest.
