(RNI) BRS senior leader Dr Dasoju Sravan lambasted SC/ST Declaration released by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge as a misleading conspiracy of Congress to cheat Dalits and Tribals of Telangana. Firing on TPCC chief Revanth Reddy for trying to deceive SC/STs, Dr Sravan pointed out that CM KCR Government has spent a whopping Rs 1,81,462 Cr exclusively for the empowerment of Dalits and Tribals between FY 2014 and 23.
Firebrand leader Dr Sravan wrote an open letter to AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge explaining in detail with facts and figures about the historical initiatives taken up by CM KCR for the uplift of Dalits and Tribals. Saying that the fake and shallow SC/ST Declaration will cut no ice with Dalits and Tribals of Telangana, Dr Sravan vowed, no amount of manipulation and misleading by Revanth and his Goebbels coterie, will stop KCR from coming back to power for the third time in Telangana.
The SC/ST Declaration released by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge appears to be born out of desperation and frustration for power, rather than out of love for Dalits and Tribals. The fake and shallow Declaration prepared by crooked Revanth Reddy and mastermind strategist Sunil Kanugolu proves Telangana Congress's cunning tactics and ideological bankruptcy. It is unfortunate that Revanth and his Goebbels team has even misled the tallest Dalit leader Mallikarjuna Kharge by spreading blatant lies and inconsistencies through the SC/ST Declaration. CM KCR-led BRS Government in Telangana has already been implementing several initiatives for the uplift and empowerment of Dalits and Tribals. With a multipronged strategy of achieving development, welfare and social justice, KCR Sarkar has introduced several schemes for SC/STs and spent a whopping Rs 1,81,462 Cr exclusively for the people belonging to these disadvantaged sections between FY 2014 and 23," said Dr Sravan, questioning Kharge as to whether any Congress-ruled state spent at least a fraction of funds spent by Telangana Govt towards SC/STs empowerment.
CM KCR has steadfastly followed BR Ambedkar's ideals and on several important occasions, he has reiterated that Telangana formation was possible only due to the Article 3 laid out by Baba Saheb in the Constitution. To remember BR Ambedkar's ideals and pay tributes to the tallest leaders in the history of India, BRS Govt has built a 125-ft tall statue of Ambedkar in the heart of Hyderabad. It is not just a tribute to BabaSaheb but an honour for all the Dalits and Tribals. To implement BR Ambedkar's ideals in governance, CM KCR has even named Telangana Secretariat after Babasaheb. I'm sure if it was Congress Govt, they would have named it after Gandhis," further said Dr Sravan, highlighting CM KCR's unflinching commitment towards Ambedkarism.
Underlining the laid back attitude and insincerity of Congress towards SC/ST reservation issues, Dr Sravan pointed out, "Under KCR's rule, ST reservations were increased from 6% to 10% in proportion to their population. A resolution was passed in the Telangana State Assembly and sent to GoI for accession, which is pending. With regard to SC reservations, BRS Government has increased the percentage to 15% and has requested the GoI for further action. Even in case of SC categorisation, Telangana Assembly has passed a resolution and sent it to GoI for further action. But ignoring the efforts done by KCR Sarkar for increasing the SC/ST reservations, Telangana Congress is trying to mislead people. If Congress is really committed to increasing the reservations for SC/STs, Kharge should ensure that Congress ruled states first pass a resolution in Assembly like Telangana Assembly has passed under KCR's leadership. If Congress is really committed towards SC categorisation, why did it not implement it between 2004 and 14 when it was in power.
Dr Sravan also exposed the shallow thinking of Telangana Congress in case of Podu lands distribution. "In the SC,ST Declaration, the grand old party promised to distribute Podu lands. But the actual fact is, CM KCR Govt has already distributed 4,01,405 acres of Podu lands for about 150,224 Adivasi families spreading over 2,845 tribal hamlets in Telangana. Podu lands distribution is almost complete and the beneficiaries are also receiving 24 hours free, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and other benefits. But Telangana Congress leaders have been intentionally turning a blind eye to this historic program of BRS Govt and trying to create unnecessary confusion. The biggest irony is, Congress's senior MLA from Mulugu Smt Seetakka’s parents also received pattas for Podu Lands under KCR's rule," explained Dr Sravan.
Saying that Congress is no match to CM KCR in terms of commitment towards SC/STs overall development, Dr Sravan reasoned, "BRS Govt has constructed special.

A total of 2,80,897 students are studying in these schools today. KCR Govt spends about Rs.1,50,000 per student per annum. Can any Congress-ruled state come even remotely close to Telangana in this aspect? CM KCR has put so much thrust on educating the children from underprivileged sections that while there were about 365 residential welfare schools and colleges in 2014, the number of these institutions rose to 805 in 2023. BRS Govt has been spending a significant budget to provide scholarships to SC/ST students. KCR Sarkar has spent about Rs 368 Cr for providing scholarships to about 5,78,417 students. About 16,809 SC/ST youth have been trained in vocational skills and are placed in leading international companies like TCS, Cognizant, Dell and others. More than 7000 SC/ST students have been provided an assistance of Rs 20 lakh each through Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi for studying abroad. Besides education, KCR Government has also been focusing on the developing entrepreneurship among SC/ST youth. About 13,264 aspiring SC/ST entrepreneurs have been given various incentives and training to be entrepreneurs under the T-Pride Scheme."
There were many instances when senior SC/ST leaders like former Minister Geetha Reddy, former Union Ministers Sarve Satyanarayana, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and others were openly humiliated by Revanth Reddy. On the other side, leaders belonging to dominant castes like Komatireddy Venkat Reddy are not even warned though they openly talk against Congress party and even go to the extent of humiliating High Command. Senior SC leader Damodar Rajanarsimha was not even felicitated though he was selected as permanent invitee to Congress Working Committee. Even Mallikarjun Kharge is being humiliated by Telangana Congress led by Revanth Reddy. While Revanth's team fills entire town with posters and hoardings and ads on TVs and papers while Gandhis visit, they give a subdued reception to AICC president Kharge just because he is an SC. This is the true colour of Telangana Congress. How will Telangana Dalits and tribals trust Congress, when it does not respect its own SC and ST leaders?" questioned Dr Sravan laying bare Congress' fake love towards SCs and STs.
Dr Sravan also came down heavily on Congress for shedding crocodile tears on revolutionary singer Gaddar's death and trying to use Gaddar's name for petty politics.
In the year 2004, Gaddar, Varavara Rao, Kalyan Rao were called for peace talks with Naxals and subsequently many Dalits and tribals were killed with covert operations. Now for the sake of votes and petty politics, Gaddar Anna’s photo is being displayed and tributes are paid by Congress. Is it not confusing and manipulating people for petty politics? Moreover it was during Chandrababu Naidu's rule that Gaddar was attacked and a bullet stayed in his body till last breath. Now Telangana Congress led by Chandrababu's chamcha Revanth is using Gaddar's photo for political gains. Do Congress leaders feel that they can fool Dalits and tribals so easily after betraying them at every point of history?" questioned Dr Sravan proving Congress double standards towards Dalits and Tribals. 
Dr Sravan also mocked SC/ST Declaration as a 'copy paste' resolution as it shamelessly copied Dalit Bandhu scheme being implemented by KCR Sarkar and made futile attempts to present it as a new idea by increasing the amount by Rs 2 lakh and also copied several other schemes already being implemented by KCR Sarkar.
Saying that various welfare initiatives introduced by CM KCR like turning tribal thandas into panchayats, double bedroom homes, pensions for old age persons, widows, disabled and persons suffering with various other ailments, KCR kit, Basti Dawakhanas, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, Kalyana Lakshmi, and other initiatives are completely transforming SCs and STs lives, there by rising their living standards, making them stand on their own feet with their head held high, Dr Sravan affirmed that crooked and misleading tactics of Telangana Congress cannot create a rift between BRS party and SC/STs.
