Do not make Manmohan Singh's Samadhi Sthal an issue of controversy: Intellectuals.

New Delhi (RNI) Prominent personalities from various fields have appealed to the parties to refrain from making the Samadhi Sthal of the great economist and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh a political issue.

Former Delhi University professor Yogesh Kumar has said that it is unfortunate to make this matter a political issue. All political parties should refrain from doing this because Dr. Singh's stature has been surrounded by controversies

Arvind Pathak, a well-known social worker and the bearer of many mass movements, has said that this is extremely unfortunate. Dr. Singh was not only the former Prime Minister of the country, but was also a renowned economist. He has made a significant contribution in strengthening the country economically. He should be kept away from controversies.

Dr. Girjesh Rastogi says that former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was a symbol of simplicity. His life has been away from controversies, so there should be no politics regarding his Samadhi Sthal.

Senior journalist Sultan S Qureshi says that the nature of politics has changed a lot. Now people have started looking for political possibilities even in death. This is not right. L.S.
