ARA---------------------------Many villages in Bihar has strange and weird names which may surprise the people or make them but definitely a special reason behind the name of every village. And Dulhinganj is such a name in Bhojpur district. The history of this village is associated with Babu Veer Kuer Singh.

The history of this village is about 200 years old and it is directly connected with Babu Veer Kuer Singh who is called the lion of Bhojpur.  The village Dulhinganj is small village under Jagdishpur police station area in Bhojpur district and naturally associated with Babu Veer Kuer Singh. It is said that Babu Veer Kuer Singh’s daughter’s name was Dulhan and he gifted this village to his daughter at the time of her marriage and since the village is called Dulhinganj.

This is a very beautiful village and people of different communities and faiths live here peacefully and in harmony and lovingly. When this correspondent visited the village and tried to know about the village, the villagers said that the history of this village is linked with Babu Veer Kuer Singh and because of him the village got its name Dulhinganj. The existence of the village dates back to before 1857. They said the name of his daughter of Dulhin and after her marriage, Kuer Singh gifted the village to his daughter and since this village came to know as Dulhinganj. The villagers could not tell the earlier name of the village.
