Dr. SHYAMA PRASAD MUKHERJI WAS THE FIRST MARTYR OF FREE INDIA—Dr. BHARAT BHUSHAN PANDEY
Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji, founder of the Jansangh and first Industry minister of the Independent India, was the first martyr of the free India, said Dr Bharat Bhushan Pandey, national president Jansangh. He was speaking on the occasion of 70th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji organized at Friend’s Colony under the presidentship of Satyendra Narayan Singh, state president, Jansangh. Floral tributes were paid to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji on his death anniversary.
Ara, 23 June 2023, (RNI): Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji, founder of the Jansangh and first Industry minister of the Independent India, was the first martyr of the free India, said Dr Bharat Bhushan Pandey, national president Jansangh. He was speaking on the occasion of 70th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji organized at Friend’s Colony under the presidentship of Satyendra Narayan Singh, state president, Jansangh. Floral tributes were paid to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji on his death anniversary.
Dr Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji had resigned from the post of Vice Chancellor, Kolkata University before the Independence of the country. He also tendered his resignation from the post of minister after the independence and sacrificed himself in the jail of Srinagar in protest against the two Heads, two laws and two symbols even after the final annexation of Jammu and Kashmir to the Indian territories after the independence. The founder of the Jansangh sacrifice the post, prestige and power for the country while in the present era the politicians go to any extent for the post, power and it is the destiny of the today politics. Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji saved half of Bengal and half of Punjab from going to Pakistan and saved Jammu and Kashmir in post-independent India by sacrificing his life. Vote of thanks was extended by Akhileshwar Nath Tiwari.
Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that Dr Mukherji resigned from the union ministry in protest against the Nehru-Liyakat alliance and founded the nationalist and realistic Jansangh. He said that leaders of 14 political parties have assembled in Patna to form a common platform to remove Narendra Modi from the power but he has no alternative and added how will alternative leaders and policies do good for the country. He said no one can halt corruption and rising prices of goods as long as expensive elections are held. He advised that such a system will have to be made in which the election commission should canvass for the candidates and the candidates should not spend themselves and only then there will be victory of common people and workers instead of criminals and musclemen. He said that leaders of the party and opposition should to go on padyatra in the disturbed areas in Manipur. Minor and innocent girls in Pakistan are victims of brutality in Pakistan and their family members are suffering hellish torture but the political parties in the country and abroad and the so called humanists are tight lipped. He said that Jansangh demands separate Hinduland for the safety and security of Hindus in Bengaldesh and Pakistan and the India government should take it seriously. He condemned the objection of the Congress conferring Gandhi Peace Award to Geeta Press and said that the Congress, a party opposing Indian philosophy, knowledge, values and Hindutva, is most harmful for the country.
