DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY, MAHARAJA COLLEGE, WOTH THE COLLABORTION OF IECC-1 ORGANIZED CLEANLINESS PROGRAMME  

Ara (RNI) Under the ‘Environment Protection and Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan’ intensive cleaning campaign of the Maharaja College campus including the historical Ara House situated on the campus of the college was launched by the Principal, Post Graduate, Department of History,  Head of the Department. teachers and students of the college under the AECC-1 project work.

Firstly all the students were divided into eight groups and directed to clean different parts of the college campus. Principal Prof. Alok Kumar highlighted the need of environmental protection and the importance of cleanliness in the present times. Head of the Department, History, Dr. Md. Niaz Hussain appealed to all the students to save the health of the deteriorating environment and also called upon them not to spread filth and garbage around and keep not only the college campus but also their nearby localities neat and clean.

Assistant Professor Anil Kumar Rai, while discussing the ill-effects of plastic in the present times, appealed to reduce its use and also to make the college campus a plastic-free zone. Assistant Professor, Dr. Amritanshu stressed need on community cleanliness and environmental equilibrium for the very existence of human beings. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh said that cleanliness is the basis of a happy life of a healthy citizen and sign of a civilized and cultured mentality and it also has a positive impact on the gross domestic product of the State.

On the occasion, students displayed quite attractive and worth seeing different types of posters and banners showing slogans related to environmental protection and cleanliness. The students performed the work displayed by the department with great enthusiasm and with team spirit. All the students and teachers of the college took a pledge to imbibe Gandhi Jee’s ideas regarding saving the environment and cleanliness in their lives.  

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IAQC) Coordinator Professor, Chanchal Pandey, Professor Om Prakash Kesari, Professor Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Amit and many other teachers were present on the occasion. Bijendra Singh, Kriti Gupta, Sugandhi Mishra, Akash Kumar, Shariq Alam, Chandan, Gudiya Rani, Prashant Raj, Sharmila Kumari and all the students including Shalini,Nidhi Kumari, Mangal, Chanchal Kumari, Mukesh Kumar, Nihal, Priya Singh and others played a commendable role in making the even a grand success.
