DEMAND TO MAKE HINDI NATIONAL LANGUAGE
Social worker, Shivdas Singh, on behalf of the general public of Bhojpuri region requested the Government of India and the Government of Bihar to connect Bhojpuri’s main centre Ara-Chhapara with a double rail route, to implement 50 percent discount in rail travel fare to senior citizens, to build Ara-Chhapara road and to free the Ara urban area from jam, to make Ara a commissionary and to fulfill other demands including making Hindi the national language.

ARA (RNI) Social worker, Shivdas Singh, on behalf of the general public of Bhojpuri region requested the Government of India and the Government of Bihar to connect Bhojpuri’s main centre Ara-Chhapara with a double rail route, to implement 50 percent discount in rail travel fare to senior citizens, to build Ara-Chhapara road and to free the Ara urban area from jam, to make Ara a commissionary and to fulfill other demands including making Hindi the national language.
They staged a day long dharana in front of the office of the Bhojpur District Magistrate from 9am to 5pm. Other demands raised in the sit-in in front of the DM’s office included the establishment of a military cantonment at Jagdishpur in the name of Babu Veer Kuer Singh, ending the Agniveer scheme, stopping the making of laws in the name of caste and religion, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) Senator, Prof, Baliraj Thakur said that to strengthen national unity, it is essential to make Hindi the national language.
Others who also addressed included Shashikant Tiwari, Prabhat Singh, Satyendra Narayan Singh, Bharat Singh Sahayogi, Nirmal Singh Sakwar, Chandan Sharan, Sachinananda Tripathi, Prayag Yadav, Jitendra Singh, Mahant Singh, Bablu Srivastava, Dr. Raghuvar Prasad, Vicky Kumar, Prof. Arun Kumar Rai, Umashankar Singh, Ramesh Singh Prapann, Atul Prakash and others.
