DATA OPERATOR SHOT AT AND INJURED IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

Ara (RNI) Motorcycle borne two armed miscreants shot at and injured a data MNREGA entry operator near Dhobi Ghatawa under Piro police station in Bhojpur district when he was going home on his motorcycle after finishing his duty. The injured was identified as Shashikant Kushwaha alias Bittu of Koyal village under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district. He is admitted to a private nursing home at Ara. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Piro police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Shashikant Kushwaha alias Bittu of Koyal village under Charpokhari police station works as Data entry operation in MNREGA under Jagdishpur block in Bhojpur district. After performing his duty, he was returning home on his motorcycle at about 9.30pm on August 9, 2024 when motorcycle borne two armed miscreants came and shot at and injured her near Dhobi Ghatawa under Piro police station on Jagdishpur-Piro main road and escaped from the scene. He said that the bullet has hit his face and he is not in a position of give statement though he is out of danger. He further said that he formed a police team under the SDPO, Piro and the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. He hoped that the miscreants will be arrested very soon. It was said that the miscreants wanted to snatch his motorcycle and when failed, they fired on him.
