ARA (RNI) On the occasion of Dipawali and Chhath festivals, Daldeo Sahu Dayanand Anglo-Vedic Culture Programmes celebrated with great pomp and show.

Like every year, a grand cultural programmes were organized on the campus of local BSDAV public school on the eve of Dipawali and Chhath festivals. Students of the school presented various colourful programmes to celebrate the arrival of the festivals like Dipawali, Godhan and Chhath.  

Principal, BSDAV Public School, Nishu Jaisawal welcomed the parents and the distinguished guests and said that the programme is as important for all of us as it is for the school, family and children. Their presence in this programme is a reflection of their love and affection and added value to this even by increasing their enthusiasm. The Principal added that he hoped that his children would strengthen the unique heritage of their tradition and culture and congratulate and wished everyone on the festivals.

The programme started with prize distributing ceremony to the participants who were selected among the Rangoli and Painting competitions organized on October 28, 2024 and painter Sukesh Kumar gave away prizes and certificates of appreciations to the successful participants.

After prize distribution ceremony, a student, Mansi Kumari, deliver a statement on the importance of traditional festivals. After that, students performed attractive dances depicting glimpses of Dipawali by lighting lampas and sparkles. The girl students celebrated ‘Bhai-Dooj by calling for their fast by beating cow dungs for the well wishes of their brothers that spell bound the spectators. The students performed a mesmerizing dance on the tradition song ‘Avara kooti l-Bhanawara Kooti le, kooti le Jmah ke Dwar.’ The centre of attraction was the glimpse of Chhath festival. Expressing this, the students presented the scene from bathing and eating to giving half to the Sun God at the ghat with traditional songs and overwhelmed everyone by creating an atmosphere of reverence and devotion in the campus.

The Chief Guest Ramamurthy Prasad praised the entire programme. Among the selected participants of painting and rangoli, Ashvi Dubey, Nivedita Singh, Aarunni Bala Karan, Shobhit Jain and Pallavi Kumari staged special performance.

Anushka Singh and Gargi Kumari conducted the programmes while all the teachers and non-teaching staffs were present on the occasion.
