As the matter came to the knowledge of the customers, they became agitated and blocked the Patna-Buxar main road near Kayamnagar Bazaar for about three hours. They paralyzed movement of vehicles and raised slogans against the officers of the SBGB. They demanded immediate arrest of the CSP owner and their money back. On information, SDPO, Sadar-2 Ranjeet Kumar Singh along with the SHO Giddha police station Umus Salam and police force rushed to the spot and persuaded the agitating customers. The blockade could be lifted after positive assurance of the SDPO.

The CSP of the SBGB was being operated from Birampur Bazaar under Giddha police station whereas it is registered in the name of Purdilganj. The CSP is being run with the name of Sahyog Business Private Limited and Chandan Sahay along with his mother Usha Sinha of Girija Mod under Nawada police station at Ara was the owner of the CSP. Around 200 customers are connected to this CSP which has been being run since 2016. Around Rs. 1 crore over one hundred customers have been defrauded.

The victims customers said that when a customer needed money, he went to the CSP and found it closed. So he went to the branch office of the SBGB at Kayamnagar Bazaar where his passbook could not be updated and when tried to get information regarding it from the branch, he could get clear answer. The news spread like catastrophe and a number of customers went to the bank to get their passbooks updated but all of them met the same fate. After they created ruckus there and blocked the Patna-Buxar main road near Kayamnagar Bazaar and paralyzed movement of vehicles for about three hours. The SDPO somehow persuaded the agitating customers and asked them to give written petitions in the Giddha police station.

The villagers said that they used to deposit their money in the CSP of the SBGB at Birampur Bazaar for which after depositing the money, the CSP operator used to return them on the pretext of printer snag and link failure saying to come on the second or third day but the money was not deposited in their bank account. The matter came to light after Renu Devi of Birampur went to the SBGB at Kayamnagar Bazaar to withdraw money for the marriage of her daughter but was shocked to know her account had no money.

The absconding CSP operator was running the CSP at the Kayamnagar Bazaar for the last eight years and just a week ago, the operator absconded after closing CSP centre. When the customers knew about it, they reached the bank where they were told that no money was deposited in their bank account. They said that the CSP operator used to get everything deposited lime passbooks, Adhar Cards. They blamed even the Branch Manager, SBGB, Kayamnagar branch is involved in this scam. The customers further said that those who used to deposit more than Rs. 25000 in the bank were directed to deposit the money in the CSP whereas the rule is that no one can deposits more than Rs. 25000 in CSP and withdraws more than Rs. 10000 from the CSP.

Branch Manager, SBGB, Kayamnagar branch Anunay Kumar refuted all charges and said that he had not accounts of the CSP with him.
