SASARAM------------------------A two-day meeting of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) state committee was organized at Pramila Marriage Hall at Bikramganj in Rohtas district. Senior leaders of the party, Swadesh Bhattacharya, State Secretary, Kunal, MPs Raja Ram Singh of Karakat, Sudama Prasad of Ara and MLAs Arun Singh of Karakat, Amar, Meena Tiwari, Nayaz Ahmad, Shashi Yadav and others participated in it. The strategy for the upcoming Assembly Elections, organizational strength, direction of the mass movement and opposition unity are discussed in the meeting.
While reviewing the political situation, State Secretary, CPI-ML Kunal said that the Mahagathbandhan is completely united and is ready to jointly contest the elections. Public wants freedom from the anti-people BJP-JD(U) government. He also informed that the coordination committee of the Mahagathbandhan has been formed and Tezaswi Yadav has been elected its president. Kunal said that we will intensify our struggle on the streets regarding the basic issues of the people like employment, education, health, inflation and corruption. He added that the BJP wants to contest elections in Bihar by spreading communal frenzy but we will not let it succeed.
Presenting a resolution against the surrender of the Modi government before America in the meeting, it was said that India’s sovereignty and democratic structure are in grave danger under this central government.
MP Raja Ram Singh slammed JD(U) over the recent controversies related to the Waqf Board. He said that JD(U)’s role on this issue has been completely anti-constitutional and anti,-democracy.
Targeting the Waqf Board is not just an attack on the Muslim community but it is also an attack on the spirit of the Indian Constitution. He said that the withdrawn agricultural laws are now being tried to be re-implemented through the back door in the name of a new agricultural marketing policy.
Ara MP Sudama Prasad prominently raised the problems of small traders and investors trapped in chit fund scams like Sahara. It was made clear that the party is increasing its organizational strength in every district and pre-election mass movements will be further intensified.
The party leaders unanimously said that the upcoming assembly elections are not just a change of power but a struggle to protect democracy, social justice and the constitution in Bihar.
