Bhojpur police seized 59 cartons of Phensadyl Cough Syrup worth about Rs. 23 lakh from a house at Saheb Tola under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district and also arrested a youth.
Ara, 21 February 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police seized 59 cartons of Phensadyl Cough Syrup worth about Rs. 23 lakh from a house at Saheb Tola under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district and also arrested a youth.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that youths visited Saheb Tola under Bihia police station frequently and used cough syrup for intoxication. He formed a police team under the Jagdishpur SDPO Rajiv Chandra Singh to inquire into the matter. The police conducted raid at a house at Saheb Tola under Bihia police station and seized 11844 bottles of Fensadyl Cough Syrup packed in 59 cartons worth about Rs. 23 lakh and arrested Nagendra Ojha son of Ramrup Ojha of Kalpatti village under Bihia police station though the mastermind of the gang Anubhav Singh alias Tinku Singh of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh escaped from the scene. Police are conducting raids to arrest him.
