CO-DRIVER OF A TRUCK SHOT DEAD

Sasaram, 26 February 2023, (RNI): Some armed miscreants shot dead a co-driver of a stone chips laden truck in the wee hour at Sikariaya Bazaar under Karakat police station in Rohtas district merely for protesting snatching of money from them. The deceased was identified as Annu Yadav 30 son of Shambhu Yadav of Chhotaki Sanadiya under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district. Later the police brought the body to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Karakat police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.

Driver of the truck Ram Ashish Yadav said that they were coming to Ara after uploading stone ships on the truck but stayed at Sikaria Bazaar under Karakat police station in Rohtas district. They were sleeping in the truck when motorcycle borne three armed miscreants got opened the gate of the truck in the wee hours and snatched Rs. 5000 from them. When his co-driver, protested, the miscreants shot him dead. He chased the miscreants but they escaped from the scene on motorcycle firing in the air. He informed the owner of the truck Munna Yadav of Ara about the incident.
