A rice mill chimney collapsed at Vilaspur village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district due to strong wind and two workers died after getting buried under the chimney though five workers from Samastipur and one from Begusarai survived as they were not on duty at the time of incident.

SASARAM--------------------------A rice mill chimney collapsed at Vilaspur village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district due to strong wind and two workers died after getting buried under the chimney though five workers from Samastipur and one from Begusarai survived as they were not on duty at the time of incident. The workers who were buried under the chimney were taken out the help of JCB after four hours and were rushed to the CHC, Kargahar but the doctors declared them dead. The deceased were identified as Satyam Kumar 24 son of Kailash Mahato of Saraiya village under Vibhutipur police station in Samastipur district and Prince Kumar 20 son of Kalapu Sah of Alapur village under Begusarai police station in Begusarai district.
DSP (Probation) Pankaj Kumar said that the Rice Mill of Kanhaiya Singh collapsed due to strong wind at Vilaspur village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district at about 1.30 pm. Satyam Kumar and Prince Kumar were working in the rice mill when the incident occurred. It was said that at least 32 tones of paddy was loaded in the chimney for milling. The chimney with 32 tones of paddy fell on the Satyam Kumar and Prince Kumar. On information, the district administration swung into operation immediately and started the rescue operation. The debris were removed with the JCB and after about four hours of efforts, both the workers could be pulled out of the debris and were admitted to the CHC, Kargahar where the doctors declared them dead.
