CHAOS AFTER FIRING AT ARA
-Chaos ensued after a person fired at Apurva Tower under Ara town police station over land dispute. The patrolling police reached there and brought members of both the group to the police station. The police also recovered a blank cartridge from the spot.
Ara, 8 July 2023, (RNI): Chaos ensued after a person fired at Apurva Tower under Ara town police station over land dispute. The patrolling police reached there and brought members of both the group to the police station. The police also recovered a blank cartridge from the spot.
Nidhi Singh of a group said that she is wife of late Uday Shankar Singh of Sabalpur village under Badahara police station but lived in Patna along with her two daughters in a rented house after the death of her husband. She was appointed in the railway after the death of her husband and at present is posted at the Patna railway station. She said that her husband Uday Shankar Sing and brother-in-law (bhasur) Damodar Pandey purchased a plot of 9 katha in the year 1992 and both got 4.5 katha after partition of the piece of land. After the partition of land her husband died. She along with a private ‘Amin’ advocate and some other persons had come to Ara for measurement of her land but her brother-in-law (bhasur) Diwakar Pandey fired one round and spread panic in the area. She said that her brother-in-law wanted to grab the piece of land of her share of land and put on a banner of disputed land on the ground though the land is not disputed.
