BUXAR POLICE SEIZED TWO FIREARMS AND NINE LIVE CARTRIDGES

BUXAR----------------------------Buxar police, acting on a tip off, conducted raid at a house at Civil Lines locality under Buxar town police station and recovered one rifle and one double barrel gun and also nine live cartridges from there.

SDPO, Buxar, Dheeraj Kumar said that Angad Singh of Majharia village under Industrial police station in Buxar district had a house at Civil Lines under Buxar town police station where his two sons Akshayawar Singh and Dhruv Singh lived. The SDPO further said that he got information that illegal arms were kept in the house. The police at once conducted raid at the house and recovered a rifle and a double barrel gun from a room and nine live cartridges from the house. He stated that the licenses of the arms were in the name of a retired army man and license of the arms is expired in the year 2016. He said that four cartridges are of the rifle while five cartridges are of the double barrel gun. He added that the arms were seized under the Model Code of Conduct and he would not write to the District Magistrate for the cancellation of the licenses of the arms.
