BUXAR POLICE ARREST TWO DRUG PEDDLERS AND SEIZED 10KG OF GANJA

BUXAR----------------------------Buxar police recovered 10 kilogram of ganja worth about Rs. 1 lakh in the open market and arrested two drug peddlers including a woman of Assam. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Sunita Chauhan of Bolo Gora under Khari Pantiya police station of Darang district in Assam and Arjun Chauhan of Lamba Patthar under Kherauni police station of West Karabi Englong. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Buxar GRP under the NDPS and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

SHO Buxar RPF Deepak Kumar said that at the direction of the senior officials in view of the forthcoming Parliamentary Elections, under NARCOS operation, the RPF and the GRP, Buxar jointly launched search operation at Platform No 2 at the Buxar railway station under Danapur Rail Division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur. When 15946 Dn. Dibrugah-Lokmanya Tilak Express came at the platform No 2 at the Buxar railway station, a woman and a male board down from coach No B-4 the train with two bags in their hands and started walking a great speed. The police, on suspicion, intercepted them and when the police queried, they admitted that they were carrying ganja in the bags. When their bags were searched in front of CO, Buxar Prashant Shandilya, 10 kilogram of ganja worth about Rs. 1 lakh in the market was seized from the bags. The RPF handed over the arrested drug peddlers with seized ganja to the GRP for further action. Later the GRP lodged a named FIR against them under the NDPS Act and sent them to jail after interrogation.
