BUXAR POLICE ARREST THREE ARMS SMUGGLERS AND SEIZE FIREARMS

Buxar (RNI) Buxar police, acting on a tip off arrested three arms smugglers from two police stations areas under Dumrao Sub-Division in Buxar district and recovered firearms from them.

Buxar SP Manish Kumar said that he got information that arms smugglers are coming from somewhere to supply arms. He at once formed a police team under the Dumrao DSP to arrest the arms smugglers and also to recover the arms. The police conducted raid and arrested an arms smuggler from Murar police station and seized a single shot country made gun from him. The police also conducted raid under Sikraul police station and arrested two arms smugglers and seized two single shot country made pistols. The SP said one of the three has criminal history while the police are searching criminal background of the two. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Arms Act and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.
