BUXAR POLICE ARREST SIX MISCREANTS WITH FIREARMS

Buxar, 2 July 2023, (RNI): Buxar police, acting on a tip off, arrested six out of eight named accused in the murder of the son of a Chowkidar and recovered a pistol, one country made pistol and two live cartridges from their possession. The arrested miscreants were identified as Akhilesh Ram and Nitish Ram sons of Ramashish Ram, Lal Jee Ram son of Binod Ram, Ramashish Ram son of Musafir Ram, Ajay alias Upendra Ram son of Rajendra Ram and Om Prakash Ram alias Narayan Ram son of Sudarshan Ram though two named accused Deepak Ram and Umesh Paswan are still absconding. The police are conducting raids to arrest them. The police also recovered one pistol, one country made pistol and two live cartridges from their possession. Person enmity is said to be the cause behind the incident.

Buxar SP Manish Kumar said that at least armed miscreants knocked the door of a Chowkidar Biraja Paswan at Devdhiya village under Rajpur police station in Buxar district at about 10.30pm on June 30, 2023 when it was raining heavily and when his son Tuntun Paswan, a CSC owner of the State Bank of India, opened the door, the miscreants shot him dead. The minor son of the deceased Sanjeev Paswan 12 also followed him to the door and the miscreants shot at and injured and escaped from the scene. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there but the doctor referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Rajpur police station against eight persons on the statement of the wife of the deceased Ramavati Devi.

After institution of FIR, the SP said, he formed a police team and the police following technical research, arrested six of eight miscreants Akhilesh Ram and Nitish Ram sons of Ramashish Ram, Lal Jee Ram son of Binod Ram, Ramashish Ram son of Musafir Ram, Ajay alias Upendra Ram son of Rajendra Ram and Om Prakash Ram alias Narayan Ram son of Sudarshan Ram with firearms. The SP said that Nitish Ram was arrested earlier and was landed in jail for selling liquor and he apprehended that Tuntun Paswan had passed on the information to police and so he along with others hatched a plan and killed Tuntun Paswan. The SP further said that Nitish Ram had criminal background and the police are looking into others involvement on crimes.
