BUXAR---------------------Buxar police, during patrolling arrested two persons with gold worth about Rs. 60 lakh from Dalsagar Toll Plaza under Industrial police station in Buxar district. The arrested rail employs were identified as Vivek Ranjan son of late Arun Kumar of Nehru Nagar at Patliputra and the Scorpio driver Gunjan Kumar of Manikpur Dhanrua under Kadirganj police station in Patna. Vivek Ranjan is a senior Section Engineer posted at Mahendru Railway in Patna.
Buxar SP Shubham Aray said that the police got information that gold is being smuggled from New Delhi to Patna in a Scorpio. A patrolling was order on the entry point and as the Scorpio entered the border of Buxar district, the police intercepted the vehicle and when searched, the police recovered 10 biscuits of gold weighing 800 gram worth about Rs.60 lakh. He said that the police arrested two persons including an employee of the railway and seized the vehicle too. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Industrial police station against them in this regard. Police are investigating the matter.
