BRIDE GROOMS AND OTHERS THRASHED AND INJURED FOR OBJECTING MISBEHAVING THE PROFESSIONAL DANCERS

Ara, 4 June 2023, (RNI): Family members of bride thrashed family members of bridegroom including the groom at Manpur village under Dhobaha police outpost merely for misbehaving with the professional dancers during a marriage ceremony there in which five persons were injured and were admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital.

Neeraj Kumar, nephew of the bridegroom said that his maternal uncle’s Jyotish Thakur barat had come to Shambhu Thakur at Manpur under Dhobaha police outpost. The professional dancers had also come along with the barat and dance programme started after the marriage ceremony was going on. Meanwhile, a friend of bride’s brother came on the stage and put money inside the cloth of the dancer. The dancers abused and insulted him and refused to dance. They became ready to dance after Jyotish Kumar pardoned and requested to resume their programme. As the dance programme resumed, the youth once again appeared on the stage and misbehaved with the dancers. People removed him from the stage and at this he became agitated and with the help of his associates started beating the guests of the groom. The both parties embroiled in a mess. The groom also came to mediate, but the bride’s family members thrashed him also and injured at least five persons. Neeraj Kumar blamed bride’s brother and other for all disturbances. Police are investigating the matter.
