ARA--------------------------With the aim of giving a new direction to the development and prosperity of Bihar, the fifth edition of Grand Truck Road Initiatives (GTRI) ‘Vision to Victory’ started in Patna. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary inaugurated the two day dialogue while Justice (retired) Sanjay Kumar, Chairman of Bihar State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission was the chief guest.

Policy makers, industrialists, academicians, startup leaders and representatives of civil society participated in it. The dialogue was divided into eight sessions and important topics like the role of Bihari immigrants, challenges of startups, cultural renaissance, economic development through tourism and investment opportunities were discussed.

Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan had a special conversation with GTRI curator Aditi Nandan. Two books published by the GTRI and the second edition of “Bihar Journal” were also released. Discussion on the books “Eminent Distortions” and “Nalanda: How it Changed the World” written by Utpal Kumar and Abhay K respectively were also held.

Aditi Nandan said that the objective of this dialogue is to establish meaningful dialogue between policy makers and the general masse, connect the youthj with innovations and the overseas Bihari community with the development okf Bihar. She also added that it is expected to create a strong network to generate employment and accelerate economic growth. Shailesh Kumar who made the discussion very effective and lively with his golden eloquence, moderated the whole dialogue. This dialogue will not only decide the future direction of Bihar but will also open a new vista to realize the dream of a developed and prosperous Bihar.

In the second session, Sumant Parimal, founding partner and analyst of 5 Jewels Research, said that the extended Bihari diaspora also has attachment to their place. No matter how many trillions are made in economics, till then we will have to know what the wishes of the Biharis diaspora are. What do they want in the State and what do they want to do. If they do not believe in giving money to their brothers, we will have to talk to them and make a mechanism to annex them.

Replying to a question as to why the cultural heritage of Bihar is not being developed, MP Sudhkar Singh said that they will not have to look only at Buddhism. He was not born in Bihar but his land of knowledge is here. Similarly he is with Ram. We will have to follow Sanatan Dharma. There are many centres of Jainism here. Unless there is a vision of country’s culture, domestic culture cannot be imagined.

In this third session, Rahul Kumar Kushwaha (CEO, Blue Medics,Marham Patti) said that if small stores are opened up to the Panchayat level, every needy person can get proper treatment. For this purpose, he opened his startup. Anything can be sold by lighting a bulb at any crossroads in Bihar. There is a perception that no one cares for business in Bihar though the government is behind them.

Bank, NBSC, he has met at least 200 investors but no one is ready to invest in Bihar as the image is Bihar is so malign. He said in a humorous tone that people from South spoil films by showing them and added if he had his way, he would ban their films.

The entrepreneur who came from Muzaffarpur Sri Ram N Kumar (CEO, Nirog Street) said that there is no ecosystem and the system will change entrepreneur. The system will have to be conductive. Entrepreneur brings money. He added that it is not the job of the investors to give money to anyone. Someone will give money only when they see some hope of return and profit.

Ravi Kumar (Shark Tank) said that he was born in a village in Jharkhand. He contacted the media saying that he would help but after seeing the collosp system, he left and joined the Shark Tank. He went to New York and learnt a lot and returned and started his startup. These entrepreneurs are very less in India. Even if 200 of 1000 are selected, 800 people will remain unemployed but on the contrary when 100 of them are given admission in the same college, the business of many people starts. There is no dearth of intellectuals in Bihar. In Texas, the government is prepared in every way for a person coming from outside. He questioned whether it is in India. Bhojpuri people are increasing their likes on Instagram all over the world.

Nikhil Naren (Assistant Professor, Zindal Global Law School) conducted the fourth session in which branding Bihar was discussed about. Vikas Vaibhav (IPS, IG and founder LIB) said that for revival there will be no need to remember old things. People from all over Tibet were ready to give gold. Are there such people to invite a preceptor? When Munger has such a big Yoga institute, there should be more places also and then there will be revival. Complete confidence will have to be developed and not the first will have to be told after the other. Centre of Excellence will have to e created.

Brand can be created only after thinking about it. Asian, Chinese and Thai medical have been forgotten in Bihar. Tibet was ready to pay gold to call a Guru from Bhagalpur. The vision of ancient times was big.

Champa is called the first city. It can be branded. A new form of Bhagalpur will develop. A big city can be built according to trade. A story will have to be told explaining its importance in ancient times. There will be talk of Silk City Banka and Bhagalpur. Didn’t tell anything about Bhagalpur. When tall Tara came, he told about it.

The government support is necessary for it and the government will have to stand as a mentor. He said that by 2028, such start-ups have to be established that 100 people can get employment everywhere.

Dhurv Sharma (founder of PS and eye pack of Union Minister of Government of India) Brand Bihar are the people who have come here. We have to tell the new Bihar to forget what happened earlier. If Buddhism has become popular is South Asia, Bihar can be a tourist destination in this regard.

OTT is easy access for every consumer or viewer. We have to see what to do. It should be made district wise what is there and what is not there in Bihar. Along with the vulgarity of Bhojpuri songs and the scale of popularity of the reels made on them, actress and producer Neetu Chandra and director Nitin Chandra talked about as to how  even in this environment of Bhojpuri, no one is talking about good works. Films like Kariyaththi are being made which have scripts connected to the roots.

In the fifth session, there was an in-depth conversation between journalist and writer Utpal Kumar and CIMP director Dr. Rana Singh on the book Eminent Distortions. Utpal Kinar said that every country has its own history until it is written. There has been a history of clonal to exotic. India’s image was presented differently. In 1990, we started speaking which history does not tell. Before Aryan, Indian people were not acquaintance with horses whereas during investigation it was found that the horses belonged to India. The main fight in history is about Aryans only. Harappan script was close to Sanskrit but all these things did not come in history which is now being challenged. Money Macaulay gave us access from India to Afghanistan and Bhutan. Jambudweep is not just India, it was from Eurasia to Central Asia to Western Asia. It is described in Vayu Purana. This is the Arctic region where there is neither night nor day. India cannot be seen from Delhi that became the capital of the country in the year 1911.
