BLACK BUCK KILLED
Hunters killed a black buck Kohada Bridge of Sonampur panchayat of Udwantnagar block in Bhojpur district and took away his skin, horns and other parts of the body.
Ara, 17 February 2023, (RNI): Hunters killed a black buck Kohada Bridge of Sonampur panchayat of Udwantnagar block in Bhojpur district and took away his skin, horns and other parts of the body. The grazers informed the villagers about hunting of black buck. The villagers found only blood on the spot.
Villagers said that grazers who were grazing their cattle near the river, informed them that herd of deer with two black buck were grazing in the field when some unidentified hunters came and killed a black buck while others ran away. Later the hunters took away skin, flesh, horns and other parts of the black buck body with them. Ram Ishwar Singh said that deer damaged their crops despite they never killed them. He added that the black buck looked very beautiful.
Sanjay Kumar of Kohada village said that skin and horns of deer are very much in demand in the market and are sold costly. He added that area around Kohada Bridge is lonely and deer are in danger. The SHO Udwantnagar police station showed his ignorance regarding killing of black buck while the Ranger, Forest Department Ranjan Sharma said that he would inquire into the matter and would try so that such incident could not be repeated.
