BJP WIPED OUT FROM ALL THE FOUR PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCIES IN THE OLD SHAHABAD DISTRICT

Altogether 51 candidates contested the parliamentary elections form the four parliamentary constituencies under the old Shahabad district

ARA---------------------------The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could not open its account and was wiped out from all the four parliamentary constituencies. The counting of votes in all the four constituencies started at 8am but at snail pace. Altogether 51 candidates contested the parliamentary elections form the four parliamentary constituencies under the old Shahabad district.
The Communist Party of India—Marxist-Leninist (Liberation) (CPI-ML) candidate supported by the INDIA Alliance Sudama Prasad won the prestigious 32-Ara Parliamentary seat. He defeated his nearest rival former Union Energy Minister and two times MP from Ara Parliamentary Constituency, Raj Kumar Singh by a margin of 56338 votes. Sudama Prasad got 459768 votes while Raj Kumar Sing got 403430 votes. Sudama Prasad was in the driver seat from very beginning and remained ahead till the end. The biggest thing was that he was leading all the 14 blocks since beginning in all the 20 rounds. Altogether 14 candidates contested the election from the 32-Ara parliamentary Constituency. Virendra Kumar Singh, Independent remained on third position with 32699 votes.
In 33-Buxar Parliamentary Constituency the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate and supported by the INDIA Alliance Sudhakar Singh defeated his nearest rival Mithilesh Tiwari of the BJP and supported by the NDA by a margin of 28548 votes. Sudhakar Singh got 401545 votes while Mithilesh Tiwari could get 372997 votes and Anil Kumar of the Bahujan Samaj Party got 102563 and remained on third position. 14 candidates were in the fray in the 33-Buxar Parliamentary Constituency.
From 34-Sasaram Parliamentary Constituency, Manoj Kumar of the Indian National Congress and supported by the INDIA Alliance won the election defeating his nearest rival Shivesh Kumar of the BJP and supported by the NDA by a margin of 19187 votes. Manoj Kumar got 506090 votes while Shivesh Kumar got 486903 votes and Santosh Kumar of the Bahujan Samaj Party got 45269 and remained on third position. Altogether 10 candidates contested election.
Raja Ram Singh of the Communist Party of India—Marxist-Leninist (Liberation) and supported by the INDIA Alliance won the 35-Karakat Parliamentary Seat and defeated his nearest rival Pawan Singh, Independent candidate by a margin of 105302 votes. He got 368662 votes while Pawan Singh got 263360 votes and Upendra Kushawaha of the Rashtirya Lok Morcha and supported by the NDA gor only 258997 votes and remained on third position. Altogether 13 candidates were contesting the parliamentary election.
Likewise, Shiv Prakash Ranjan of the INDIA Alliance defeated his nearest rival Prabhunath Prasad of JD(U) from the Agiaw(R) Assembly Constituency in the midterm election conducted simultaneously with the parliamentary election and won the election by a margin of sizeable votes. The Agaiw seat fell vacant after the MLA from there Manoj Manjil was penalized by the court thought the Patna High Court later granted him bail.
