BUXAR---------------------------Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, as part of his ‘Pragati Yatra’ reached Buxar and made 12 major announcements related to the development of Buxar district. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 73 schemes worth about Rs. 478 crore including multi-village drinking water supply centre at Keshapur of the district and pump canal project from Karmanasha river in Nikrish of Rajpur block through remote control.
The Chief Ministr reached Buxar and announced construction of road on Buxar-Koelwar embankment and completion of Malai Barrage Scheme on Kaon river which will be beneficial for Buxar as well as neighbouring Bhojpur and Rohtas districts. He also announced the establishment of Bharat Ratna Ustab Bismillah Khan Music University, construction of sports complex at ITI ground and construction of auditorium in Buxar. He also announced the widening of two major roads of Buxar district headquarters that included the bypass and part of the main road from Jyoti Chowk to Buxar Golambar and the road from Badi Masjid to Central Jail road. He announced the widening of the old Bhojpur-Simari road from Buxar-Patna NH-922 to the market via Baba Brahmeshwarnath Temple besides construction of bypass road in Dhansoin market. He inaugurated the Simari multi-village Water Supply Scheme constructed with the estimated cost of Rs. 202.70 crore which will benefit 36760 houses of 214 wards of Simari block and the people will get arsenic free Ganga Jal in their houses.
The Chief Minister assured to send the Central Government for direct connectivity with the Janeshwar Mishra Bridge built on the river Ganga in Balia district of Uttar Pradesh via NH-922 via Chakki village. He said that new buildings will be constructed block and circle offices at Buxar, Simari, Chausa, Chaugai and Kesath blocks of Buxar district. He also laid the foundation stone of big schemes like renovation of Hotel Vishwamitra in Buxar and development of tourism facilities at Ramrekha Ghat.
Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Sinha, PHED Minister, Neeraj Bablu, Urban Development and Housing cum District-in-charge Minister Nitin Naveen, Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary, Minority Department Minister, Jama Khan, Secretary to the CM, Amritlal Meen, Deepak Kumar, DGP Vinay Kumar, ACS of Education Department, Dr. S. Siddharth and other officials of Buxar district were present during the Pragati Yatara of the CM.
The CM said that a 52 kilometer long road with the estimated cost of Rs. 181.27 crore will be constructed on the Buxar-Koelwar embankment for strengthening it. The CM fulfilled this much awaited demand of Buxar district and inspected the site of embankment at Keshopur village of Simari block. The officers of the district told the CM through the sitemap that with the completion of this work, a population of six lakhs in the blocks like Buxar, Chakki, Simari, Brahmpur etc will be benefited. There will be commercial development in the area along the embankment. Besides, arrangement for alternative route from Buxar to Dumraon will be made available. In addition to it, it will also help the villagers of Ahiroli, Arjunpur, Makharian, Keshopur, Jawahi, Nainijor, Dharamgatpur, Nagpura, Rajpur, Chhotaka Rajpur, Barka Rajpur, Rajpur Kala, Miyajipur and Gangauli.
The Chief Minister also instructed the officials and said that the project should be completed within the stipulate time limit. He directed them to take special care that the Buxar-Koelwar embankment is properly strengthened and seasoned. With the completion of this work, people will get better transportation facilities and the area around the embankment will also be safe from floods.
Hotel Vishwamitra Vihar proposed by the Tourism Department at Buxar Golambar will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 24.56 crore besides widening and strengthening four lane work of the newly proposed 3 kilometer road from Buxar Golambar to Jyoti Prakash Chowk which will be done with the estimated cost of Rs. 4,152.985 lakhs. In view of the daily traffic jam at Buxar Golambar, officials stressed the need of extend the alignment of 4.05 kilometer three-lane bridge project near Dalsagar, Churamanpur or Ahiroli area.
