BIHAR DIWAS CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM
111th foundation day of Bihar was celebrated in Bhojpur district at Veer Kuer Singh Stadium at Ramana Maidan on Wedesday with much fanfare. The function was organized by the Bhojpur district administration. Mayor, Ara Municipal Commission (AMC), Indu Devi, Badahara MLA, Raghwendra Pratap Singh, MLA Sudama Prasad, Bhojpur DM, Raj Kumar and the SP Pramod Kumar Yadav jointly inaugurated the function by lighting ceremonial candle and releasing dove and colourful balloons in the air. Students of different schools presented a number of colourful cultural programmes on the occasion. .

Students of different schools presented a number of colourful cultural programmes on the occasion. .
Welcoming the guests, Bhojpur DM Raj Kumar said that Bhojpur is a historical district and famous worldwide and highlighted achievements of government and the district administration. He added despite all these developments the district still lag behind in comparison to other states as people of the state lacked self-discipline, moral value. He said that deterioration is seen in education system, medicare, administrative system and stressed the need of introspection to be a developed state. He advised help ever, hurt never, love all, serve all.
Addressing the people, Badahara MLA Raghwendra Pratap Singh said that Bihar was declared as State on March 22, 1912 and since March 22 is celebrated as Bihar Diwas. He paid homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed for their motherland. He said that after partition, it was said that all natural wealth went to Jharkhand but due to management Bihar is developing day by and by. He added that his government is determined to development of all section of society. Everyone should have an angle to see development in the so vast country like India.
CPI-ML MLA from Tarari Sudama Prasad pooh-poohed the tall claims of fair, corruption free and safe Bihar of the Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar and said that corruption is prevailing all round and nothing can be done without greasing palms of officials in any government department. He said that he got constructed a road in the year 2021-2022 in Ward No 12 in Piro with the estimated cost of about Rs 3 lakh with the fund of the Chief Minister Area Development Fund but the Nagar Parishad withdrew Rs. 6.67 lakh on the same scheme. He questioned that Bihar Diwas was celebrated merely to eulogize the government and the corrupt officials. He further said that the standard of education in Bihar had dipped to the point of no return and whenever students and unemployed youths demanded job, they were thrashed though the government had promised to provide at least 19 lakh job every year at the time of election.
Earlier, at least 5000 boys and girls of different schools took out a ‘prabhat pheri’ in the morning from the Ramana Maidan that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town. DM Sanjeev Kumar flagged off the ‘Prabhat pheri’.
Banks, DRDA, Agriculture department, district administration, Horticulture, ICDS, Social Security, Ara Municipal Corporation, District Welfare Department, District Education Department, Red Cross, Jeevika, Mahila Helpline and other NGOs, Prabhat Creative Society, Sudha Dairy, Satya Vridh Ashram, Police department set up their stalls highlighting the different welfare schemes of government. All the government buildings and colleges were decorated with blue lights. A colourful, cultural programme was also organized.
