BHOJPUR SP SUSPENDS TWO SIs WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT FOR DEMANDING MONEY FOR MANAGING A MURDER CASE

ARA------------------------Bhojpur SP suspended two Sub-Inspectors posted at Giddha police station of Bhojpur district with immediate effect in connection with demanding money on mobile in exchange for managing a murder case on the basis of investigation report of the SDPO-2. The suspended Sis were identified as Uma Shankar Sahni and Subodh Paswan. The SP asked them to report in the New Police Line at Ara.

The audio of two SIs Umashankar Sahani and Subodh Paswan posted at Giddha police station in Bhojpur district had gone viral in which they were demanding money from a clothes shopkeeper Aftab to hush up a case. On the other hand SI Subodh Paswan was asking for weapons from Aftab and money was also demanded. When the matter came to the cognizance of the Bhojpur SP Mister Raj, he asked the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO)-2 to inquire into the matter. The SDPO submitted his report in which the allegation was found true. On the basis of the investigation report, the SP suspended both the SIs with immediate effect and ordered them to report in the New Police Line.

In the viral audio it can be clearly heard as to how money was demanded to manage the murder case. SI Umashankar Sahani was admitting to the young man and saying that he (shopkeeper) had made him (SI) wear a lot of jeans. He (SI) had taken a such a big risk for him (shopkeeper) and he would not trap him. Aftab, the young man who was talking on the mobile, said that he was not the kind of person who will trap him. In the viral audio, the SI Umashankar Sahani had taken the name of another SI Subodh Paswan in the midst of money transactions. The voice of the SHO Giddha police station Umus Salma can also be heard. Three audio clips of the conversation in between the SI and Aftab have surfaced. The first audio clip is of 21 seconds while the second is of 11 second and the third clip is of 2 minutes and 17 seconds. In the first clip, SI Umashankar Sahani asked Aftah if had come. Aftab said that he was coming. He had just gone to his sister to manage money. The SI stated to come towards the house of Prem Ji. When Aftab requested to set madam to reduce the money, the SI said that everything cannot be settled on mobile.

The second audio clip is of 11 seconds in which the SI says to Aftab as to how far he had reached and dictated to come quickly while in the third audio clip the SI said to Aftab that his work has been done and now he should stay or go.

Aftab said that his work had been finished and he had Rs. 20,000.

Umashankar Sahani said that as to why he talked about all times on mobile. Where is he and was he trying to trap him.

Aftab replied in negative and said that he would not betray and he was near a new house.

Umashankar Sahani directed Aftab to come to Subodh Paswan’s house with money. At this Aftab said that Subodh Paswan had said to lift him if he is not coming.

Umashankar Sahani said that he was to leave as he was completely tired and was going to sleep.

Aftab said that he was coming within half an hour along with his brother after closing the shop.

Umashankar Sahani forbade Aftab to befool him and he had taken risk for him.

Aftab said that he would not trap him and so he should not be worry. He may give some less money but will not try to trap him. He would sent 10 jeans of Spiker company.

Umashankar Sahani said that he is not into all this. He won his heart by getting him jeans worn.

Aftab said that he had learnt one thin from him that one of his foot stays in the police station and the other at home. He used to do all works of the madam and has not committed any crime.

Umashankar Sahani said to Aftab that it was reason that he is getting favour. If he comes to the police station, they would hang him and then he would say that he had not committed any crime. He further said that he would teach him (Aftab) a lesson if he disclosed his name.
