BHOJPUR SP SUSPENDS SHO GIDDHA POLICE STATION FOR FUDGING FIGURE OF RECOVERED LIQUOR

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav suspended the Station House Officer (SHO), Giddha police station and also served show cause notice in connection with fudging figures of recovered liquor. 

Bhojpur police had recovered beer in large quantity packed in a bag and had also arrested two liquor smugglers Kamran Ansari and Dinesh Sharma of Lakshanpur village under Ara Muffassil police station. The police sent them to jail after institution of an FIR against them under the New Excise Act. But the police showed seizure of 57 bottles of beer while the figure shown in the FIR was 55. The matter became viral and the Bhojpur SP took it seriously and suspended the SHO Giddha police station with immediate effect after serving show cause notice on her. The SHO replied in the show notice that the data in the FIR was inadvertently mentioned 55 in place of 57 and she had submitted a corrigendum in the court in this regard. Despite the SP considered it dereliction of duty and suspended the SHO. The SP also served show cause notice on the informer police officer.
