BHOJPUR SP SUPENDS SHO AND AN SI ON CHARGE OF EXTORTION

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur SP Mister Raj, on the baisi of the report of the Jagdishpur SDPO, suspends the Station House Officer (SHO), Ayar police station Rajiv Kumar with immediate effect in connection with making illegal collection illegal amount from the tractor drivers carrying sand.

Bhojpur SP said that he got complaint of extorting money from the tractor drivers who were carrying sand. Af the complaint was found true during inquiry, he suspends the SHO, Ayar police station.

Ajay Yadav, district president, Bhojpur Tuck Owner Association had complained the Bhojpur SP in writing that the SHO Ayar police station is exorting money from the drivers of the trucks and tractors and owners who are found carrying sand threatening them to implicate in false and mining cases. In the complaint, he said that on March 31, 2025, the SHO extorted Rs. 25000 from driver of a tractor desping having mining receipt threatening him to implicate in false case. Taking it seriously, the Bhojpur SP directed the SDPO, Jagdishpur, Rajeev Chandra Singh to inquire into the matter and submit his report at the earliest. The SDPO inquired into matter and found the complaint ture. He submitted his report to the Bhojpur SP who on the basis of the report, suspends the SHO Ayar Police Station Rajiv Kumar with immediate effect. 

In another incident, Bhojpur SP suspends a Sub-Inspector posted at the Giddha police station Shashi Bhushan with immediate effectand line closed him after video of borrowing money to settle the case went viral on social media.

A video of the SI, posted at Giddha police station Shashi Bhushan had become viral on the social media platform about money transactions with a broker. The SP took the matter seriously and suspended him.

The SP said that departmental action will also be taken against him. Earlier also Shashi Bhushan has been accused of misappropriation of seized liquor. The role of the broker is also being investigated.
