BHOJPUR POLICE SOLVED MYSTERY OF TANISHQ SHOWROOM ROBBERY, ARREST TWO MISCREANTS, RECOVERED LOOTED RIFLE AND MOBILE
Bhojpur police solved the mystery of robbery at the Tanishq Showroom at Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station and recovered two pistols, five live cartridges and said that the robbery was not of Rs. 25 crore but of Rs. 10.9 crore. The police arrested two of six miscreants of Saran district Vishal Gupta of Dighwara in Chhaara district and Kunal Kumar of Semara village under Sonpur police station from Babura Chhota Bridge under Badahara police station in this regard and sent them to jail. An FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the rest miscreants. Police also recovered the looted rifle from Highway on the revelation of the arrested miscreants, looted mobile of a customer from a bush near Kayamnagar and about 70 percent of looted jewelries. One FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station on the statement of the Assistant Manager Vinod Kumar of Showroom regarding loot of jewelries worth about Rs. 10.9crore while another FIR was lodged with the police under Badahara police station on the statement of the SHO Badahara police station Shaileshwar against three named and one unnamed miscreants.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that after committing robbery at the Tanishq showroom near Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station, the miscreants were fleeing via Badahara on motorcycles and when the police tried to intercept them, they fired on the police. In retaliation, the police had to reciprocate in the same manner in which two miscreants were injured and were admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital. The police recovered two country made pistols, five live cartridges, one motorcycles and two bags of looted jewelries. Police are conducting raids to arrest the rest six miscreants. The SP further said that six miscreants were involved in this robbery and jewelries of about Rs. 10.9 crore were looted. The miscreants packed the looted jewelries in three bags and had escaped. The SP stated said that the police have recovered two bags of jewelries and two named FIRs were lodged with the police under Ara town police station and Badahara police station in this regard. Chandan Kumar alias Prince of Majhauli village under Bidupur police station of Vaishali district has been also made named accused in this robbery. He is languishing in the Bakuda jail in West Bengal. His name figured as the mastermind of the robbery after the intensive interrogation of the arrested miscreants. The police also interrogate Chandan Kumar and Subodh Singh of Nalanda and Nirantak gang of Vaishali district in this regard as they were named in several international loot cases. Dozens of criminal cases are pending with the police in Bihar and West Bengal against Chandan Kuamar. Bhojpur, following technical and CCTV footage, are conducting raids at Patna, Vaishali, Saran and other places and at least four persons have been detained for interrogation.
Shahabad DIG Satya Prakash along with the Bhojpur SP Mister Ran, ASP Parichay Kumar camped at Ara to monitor investigation of the Showroom robbery.
Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that the miscreants had entered the showroom at about 10.21 am and sat on the counter at first floor on excuse of purchasing of gold ring and after five minutes, three more miscreants made captive the guard and the gunman and entered the showroom. They snatched the licensed gun and six live cartridges from the security guard and made all employees captive at the ground floor and then two more miscreants entered the showroom and they started looting jewelries. When a lady employee tried to talk, the miscreants snatched her mobile. Another lady employee somehow went to the first floor and asked the employees there to remove the jewelries but the miscreants there made her captive too and when protested the miscreants thrashed her. They broke the glass of the counter and packed jewelries in three bags and later they decamped with the booty on motorcycles. The Assistant Manager of Showroom Vinod Kumar and a resident of Sikariya village under Gadhani police station lodged an FIR with the police under Ara town police station against seven unnamed persons aged in between 25 years saying that jewelries worth about Rs.25 crore were looted. After the loot, when the stock was verified, it was found that jewelries worth Rs. 10.9 crore were looted.
It was said that the miscreants had taken shelter in Bhojpur district before committing robbery and they had spent night in a house at Kayamnagar-Babura area. The arrested miscreants said that they had come here from Saran while their other aides had already taken shelter on the border area of Bhojpur district. The arrested miscreants Vishal Gupta and Kunal Kumar had taken the name of the mastermind of the robbery Chandan Kumar though they denied details of their other aides. The mastermind hired the boys who are unknown to one another and they were told the fame names. They commit crime on the basis of code number and so the Police are trying to identify the miscreants with the help of CCTV footage so that the names of miscreants could be figured.
