BHOJPUR POLICE SOLVED MYSTERY OF MURDER AND ARRESTED TWO PERSONS

ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police arrested two youths and claimed to solve the murder mystery of Rajeev Singh alias Chhotu Singh of Birampur village under Giddha police station in Bhojpur district. The arrested youths were identified as Bhola Yadav son of late Bali Yadav and Mukesh Kumar son of Jitendra Rai of Birampur village. The police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Rajeev Singh alias Chhotu Singh son of late Umesh Singh of Birampur village under Gidha police station along with his friends Bhola Yadav and Mukesh Kumar of his village and some others dealt in liquor but someone was stealing the liquor for quite some time and so with a view to catch the thief, they added some poison to the liquor and Rajeev Singh alias Chhotu Singh unknowingly took that liquor and died on spot. After his death, his friends loaded the body on a tractor and threw it into river nearby.

The SP further said that Rajeev Singh alias Chhotu Singh disappeared abruptly on June 13, 2024 and when he was not found, his uncle Harendra Kumar Singh lodged an FIR with the police under Gidha police station regarding his kidnapping. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and recovered the lacerated body of Rajeev Singh alias Chhotu Singh from the river under the bridge at Karaja village under Badahara police station on June 24, 2024. The SP said he also formed a police team under the SDPO, Koelwari Ranjeet Kumar Singh that following the technical inputs arrested Bhola Yadav and Mukesh Yadav. He stated that during interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the murder and also revealed some names. The police are conducting raids to arrest them.
