Sleuth of Excise Department, led by the Assistant Commissioner, recovered India Made Foreign Liquor worth about Rs. 10 lakh from a Mahindra Maxi near Bampali under Udwantnagar police station on Buxar-Patna main road and also arrested two liquor smugglers.

ARA---------------------Sleuth of Excise Department, led by the Assistant Commissioner, recovered India Made Foreign Liquor worth about Rs. 10 lakh from a Mahindra Maxi near Bampali under Udwantnagar police station on Buxar-Patna main road and also arrested two liquor smugglers. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Udwantnagar police station under the New Excise Act against the arrested liquor smugglers and the police sent them to jail after interrogation. The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Ajit Kumar son of Shyam Sah of Newa Jee Tola Ward No 2 under Muffassil police station in Saran district and Vishal Kumar son of Vinod Yadav of Milki village under Gajrajganj police station in Bhojpur district.
The Assistant Commissioner, Excise Department said that he along with police force was patrolling near Bampali village on Buxar-Patna main road when a Mahindra Maxi came at great speed. The police intercepted and when checked the police recovered 3600 bottles of IMFL hidden under a cushion and loaded on the vehicle. The police also seized the vehicle and arrested two liquor smugglers.
