BHOJPUR POLICE SEIZED MORE THAN THREE DOZENS CARTONS OF IMFL LOADED ON PARCEL CONTAINER

Ara (RNI) Bhojpur police and sleuth of Excise Department jointly arrested two liquor smugglers from Kulharia Toll Plaza under Koelwar police station on Patna-Buxar main road and seized India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in large quantity loaded on a parcel container in the late night on January 22, 2025. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police station in this regard against the arrested liquor smugglers under the New Excise Act and sent them to jail after interrogation.  

SHO Koelwar police station said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was being smuggled to Patna in a parcel container. He at once informed the Excise Department. Later the sleuth of Excise Department and the Police jointly laid trap around the Kulaharia Toll Plaza. As the parcel container came, the police intercepted it. Seeing the police, two youths tried to escape but the police chased and caught them. Later the police brought both the youths and the parcel container to the Koelwar police station where the police unloaded more than three dozen of cartons containing IMFL along with several logistic packets containing clothes, cosmetic items, metals and plastic items in large number.
