Bhojpur police seized Rs. 10 lakh in cash from a car from near Koelwar Bridge under Koelwar police station and also arrested a person.
ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police seized Rs. 10 lakh in cash from a car from near Koelwar Bridge under Koelwar police station and also arrested a person.
SHO Koelwar police station said that in view of Parliamentary Election 2024, vehicle checking drive had been launched near Koelwar Bridge. Meanwhile, police intercepted a car coming from Patna and when searched, the police seized Rs. 10 lakh in cash from the car. The person who was carrying the cash in the car could not reply the query of the police satisfactorily.
In another incident, police seized about Rs. 10.50 lakh from a car and a scooty during vehicle checking drive near Gajrajganj Check Post under Udwantnagar police station. The police also seized the car and the scooty.
SHO Gajrajganj police outpost Hari Prasad Sharma said that vehicle checking drive was going on the Gajrajganj Check post. Meanwhile, the police intercepted a Scorpio and a Scooty coming from Bihia and when searched, the police recovered about Rs. 8.56 lakh from the Scorpio and about Rs. 2 lakh from the Scooty in cash. He said that the police seized the Scorpio and the Scooty. He further said that it is suspected that the money might be used during parliamentary election.
