ARA------------------------Bhojpur police seized a truck loaded with India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and arrested the driver and cleaner of the truck from near Private Bus Stand under Nawada police station. The arrested driver was identified as Prakash Dayima son of Raghunath Dayima of Shankarpur village under Pabasa police station of Ujjain district while the cleaner was identified as Pappu Banjara son of Heera Lal Banjara of Dudhpura village under Kanad police station of Shahpur district in Madhya Pradesh. An FIR was lodged with the police under Nawada police station in this regard under the New Excise Act and the polie sent them to jail after interrogation.
SHO Nawada police station said that the police got information that a truck bearing registration number of Madhya Pradesh was to pass through the Nawada police station in Bhojpur district, with a big consignment of IMFL from Chandigarh. The police at once swung into action and seized the truck from near Private Bus Stand under Nawada police station and arrested the driver and cleaner of the truck. When searched, the police recovered 4135.68 litre of IMFL packed in 448 cartons. The Bhojpur police succeeded in recovering this big consignment of IMFL with the help of Patna police. The SHO further said that the liquor smugglers had made a separate box inside the truck in which the cartons were kept and the box was covered with plastic pipes so that no one could get clue of it.
