BHOJPUR POLICE SEIZED 30.500 KG OF GANJA, ARREST FOUR GANJA SMUGGLERS

ARA------------------------Bhojpur police arrested four ganja smugglers and seized 30 kilogram of contraband ganja from a car from near Bibiganj area under Gajrajgaj police outpost in Bhojpur district. The arrested ganja smugglers were identified as Raju Kumar Rai of Masadh village under Gajrajganj police outpost, Dheeraj Kumar Singh, Abhimanyu alias Kunkun Singh of Pathanpur village under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district and Ankit Kumar Raj of Khajuan village under Rasulpur police station in Saran district. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Gajrajganj police station in this regard under the NDPS Act and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj, in a press release, said that he got information that a big consignment of contraband ganja was being smuggled from Dimapur in Asam to Bhojpur in a car via NH-922. He at once swung into action and formed a police team under the SHO Gajrajganj police station Hari Prasad Sharma. The police team intercepted a car near Bibiganj imder Gajrajganj police outpost on NH-922 and when searched, the police recovered 30.500 kilograms of contraband ganja, four mobiles and Rs. 2700 in cash from the car. The police also arrested four ganja smugglers from the car and also seized the car. During interrogation, both admitted that they were smuggling the ganja from Dimapur in Assam to Masadh village in Bhojpur district.
