BHOJPUR POLICE SEIZE 973 LITRE OF IMFL, ARREST THE DRIVER OF A VEHICLE

ARA-------------------------Bhojpur police seized 973 litre of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) loaded on a Pick-UP van near Kulharia Toll Plaza under Koelwar police station on Ara-Patna main road in Bhojpur district and also arrested the driver of the vehicle. The arrested vehicle driver was identified as Kamlesh Kumar son of Vijay Singh of ODI village under Hisua police station in Nawada district.

SHO Koelwar police station Subhash Kumar Mandal said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was being smuggled from Uttar Pradesh to Patna. He at once laid trap near Kulharia Toll Plaza under Koelwar police station on Ara-Patna main road. As the Pick Up Van, the police surrounded it. The driver of the vehicle tried to escape but the police chased and arrested him. When searched vehicle, the police recovered 973 litre of IMFL loaded on the vehicle. The driver revealed important clue before the police. The SHO said that the liquor smugglers were shrewd that they changed the registration number plate of the vehicle. He added that the Pick-Up van had registration number of Uttar Pradesh while another registration number plate of Bihar was seized from the vehicle.
