BHOJPUR POLICE SEIZE 8446 BOTTLES OF IMFL AND A CAR, ARREST TWO LIQUOR SMUGGLERS

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, seized 8244 bottle of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) loaded on a truck and arrested two liquor smugglers from near Chitrasenpur village under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district. The police also seized two mobiles and Rs. 2600 in cash from them. The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Indrajeet Kumar son of Manki Kumar of Kolharampur village under Badahara police station in Bhojpur district and Pankaj Kumar son of Gautam Rai of Dariyanganj village under Doriganj police station in Chhapara district. The police lodged a named FIR with the police under Ara Muffassil police station against them under the new Excise Act and sent them to jail after interrogation.

SHO Ara Muffassil police station Rajeev Kumar said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was being smuggled in a truck. He at once formed a police team that launched a vehicle checking drive near Chitrasenpur village under Ara Muffassil policie station. Meanwhile, police intercepted a truck and when checked the police seized 8244 bottles of IMFL and also arrested two liquor smugglers.

In another incident, the police seized a stolen Swift Dezire Car from Maharaja Hata Lane No 3 under Nawada police station at Ara and also seized 202 bottles of IMFL from the car. The police lodged an FIR in this regard and are conducting raids to arrest the liquor smugglers.

SHO Nawada police station Kamal Jeet said that he got information that IMFL was being smuggled in a car. He at once formed a police team that seized the car and 202 bottles of IMFL loaded in the car.
