BHOJPUR POLICE SEIZE 449.28 LITRE OF IMFL

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police seized a boat loaded with a big consignment of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from near Susadh Ghat on the bank of Suhiya river under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district. The police seized 449.28 litre of IMFL worth about Rs. 4.5 lakh. The liquor smuggler escaped from the scene.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the Shahpur police got information in the afternoon some liquor smugglers were smuggling IMFL in a boat near the Suhiya river at Dusadhi Ghat. He formed a police team under the Jagdishpur SDPO and the police team conducted raid at Dusadhi Ghat near Suhiya river. Seeing the police a person in the boat jumped into the river and escaped from the scene. The police seized the boat and when searched, the police seized 449.28 litre of IMFL. An FIR was lodged with the police under Shahpur police station under the New Excise Act and the police are conducting raids to arrest the liquor smugglers.
