BHOJPUR POLICE SEIZE 2459 BOTTLES OF IMFL AND ARREST TWO LIQUOR SMUGGLERS

ARA------------------------Bhojpur police with the help of Excise Department, Patna conducted raid near Petrol Pump at Bihia under the same police station in Bhojpur district and seized India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a Dak Parcel Pick-Up van and also arrested two liquor smugglers. The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Satish Kumar son of Munshi Prasad of Udaypura village under Hilasa police station in Nalanda district and Nitish Kumar son of Dinesh Yadav of Rasula village under Kako police station in Jehanabad district.

The Excise Department, Patna got information that the liquor smugglers were going to Patna from heavy quantity of IMFL from Chandauly in Uttar Pradesh. The police laid trap to arrest the liquor smugglers but they escaped towards Bihia at great speed. Their vehicle was trapped in the traffic jam on the ROB at Bihia and the Inspector, Excise Department Navin Kumar Singh with the help of Bihia police seized the vehicle and brought it to the Bihia police station where the police searched the vehicle and seized 2459 bottles of IMFL of different brands hidden in a cell of the vehicle especially made for the purpose and Rs. 96800 in cash.
