BHOJPUR POLICE RECOVERED BODY OF A MISSING YOUTH AFTER A WEEK

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police recovered body of a youth from a field near new vegetable market at Piro under the same police station in Bhojpur district and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Narayan Kumar of Rajeya village under Piro police station and he was missing since February 9, 2024. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Piro police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Narayan Kumar 35 son of Jai Bhagwan Singh of Rajeya village under Piro police station was to be married on February 18, 2024. On February 9, 2024, Narayan Kumar set out of his house for Bihia in the morning saying that he would return till evening. When he did not return till late night, the family members searched for him but in vain. They lodged an FIR with the police under Piro police station in connection with missing of Narayan Kumar and requested to find him out but the police failed to get any clue even after more than a week. Meanwhile, the police recovered the body from a field near new vegetable market at Piro in the evening on Friday and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The SP further said that a team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and Dog Squad have been requisitioned and the police are trying to find out the miscreants in this regard. He said that the body of the deceased has no sign of injury and the initial investigation showed that some close relative of Narayan Kumar, taking him in confidence, took him somewhere where they killed him under mysterious circumstances and threw the body in the field to evade arrest.
