BHOJPUR POLICE RECOVERED BODY OF A MARRIED WOMAN HANGING TO THE ROOF LATCH IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA----------------------------Bhojpur police recovered body of a married woman hanging to the ceiling of her house at Babhniaaw village under Jagdishpur police station and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Ptamita Devi 24 wife of Sunil Yadav alias Duggi of Babhniyaw village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district. She had a three years old and a three months old daughters. On the other hand her family members blamed that her husband killed her and later hanged her to the ceiling of the house to give it a colour of suicide. The SDPO, Jagdishpur, Rajiv Chandra Singh, SHO Jagdishpur police station Bigau Ram along with police force rushed to the spot and too information regarding the incident. The police also requisitioned the Forensic Science Laboratory team that collected evidences from the spot. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Jagdishpur police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreant.

Uma Shankar Yadav of Bimawa village under Jagdishpur police station and father of the deceased said that he married his daughter Pratima Devi with Sunil Yadav son of Buteshwar Yadav of Babhiniyaw village under Jagdishpur police station in June, 2020. Some times after the marriage, Sunil Yadav started torturing her and demanded money and her ornaments for drinking and that was the bone of contention in between the two. He had gone to her in-laws to take her back but her husband got angry and said that she would not go and added if he wanted to take her, take in writing. After that he returned to his village empty handed. In the afternoon on January 8, 2025, a villager informed him that his daughter had committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of her house. On information, he along with other family members rushed to her in-laws house where they found that Pratima Devi was hanging to the roof latch and her husband Sunil Yadav was absconding. He at once informed the police regarding it and the police arrived and recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. He blamed that Sunil Yadav killed and hanged her to the roof latch to give colour of suicide while on the other hand Butesar Yadav, father-in-law of the deceased said that Sunil Yadav worked in Ludhiyana in Punjab and he had come about a month ago and both quarreled on every trivia matter. He had gone to his field in the morning on January 8, 2025 and no one was in the house except children and Pratima Devi. In the afternoon, the children informed him that Pramtima Devi committed suicide by hanging herself to the roof latch and so he at once arrived at his house.
