BHOJPUR POLICE RECOVERED A MARRIED WOMAN FROM JHARKHAND AFTER SIX YEARS

ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police with the help of their Jharkhand counterpart recovered a married woman from Jharkhand and brought her to Bhojpur district. The married woman had gone missing about six years ago. The woman was identified as Sarita Devi of Hetampur under Tier police station in Bhojpurh district. Police brought the woman to the Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her in the Ara Civil Court to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC.

Quoting the FIR, the SHO Tier police station said that the married woman Sarita Devi was kidnapped in the year 2018 and a named FIR was lodged with the police under the Tier police station in this regard against the brother-in-law (bahanoi) of the woman, brother of her brother-in-law and his father on the statement of the husband of the woman. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and started investigating the matter and conducting raids to recover the woman and also to arrest the kidnappers. Meanwhile, the police got information that the woman was living in Jharkhand. Later the police went to Jharkhand and with the help of their Jharkhand counterpart conducted raid at Sahebganj there and recovered the woman though none of the named persons could be arrested. The SHO said that love affair is said to be the cause behind the incident.
