BHOJPUR POLICE RECOVERED A BODY FLOATING IN A WATER FILLED DITCH

ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police recovered body of a youth from a water filled ditch near Lohia-Ambedkar School at Sheetal Tola under Ara town police station in the evening on August 20, 2023 and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Dhanu Yadav 26 son of Vijay Yadav of Sri Tola under Nawada police station. it is suspected that someone killed and threw his body into the ditch.

Chandan Kumar brother of the deceased said that Dhanu Kumar was arrested and sent to jail for taking liquor about a month ago and was bailed out at about 9am on August 20, 2023 though the family members had information that he was bailed out in the evening on August 19, 2023 and so they were waiting him to come to house. Meanwhile, they got information that his body was floating in a ditch filled with water near Lohia Ambedkar School at Sheetal Tola under Ara town police station in the evening on August 20, 2023. The family members rushed to the spot and found him dead. Chandan Kumar further said that the police frequently raided the area to arrest drug peddlers and liquor smugglers in the area. He stated that the liquor mafias suspected that Dhanu Kumar was police informer and might killed and threw his body into the ditch.
