BHOJPUR POLICE RECOVER KIDNAPPED BIHIA BDC MEMBER FROM ARA RAILWAY STATION

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police recovered a kidnapped Panchayat Committee Member, Bihia block, Geeta Devi from Ara railway station after 15 days.

It may be said that a case of kidnapping had come to light on December 19, 2023 prior to bringing of No-Confidence Motion against the Pramukh and Up Pramukh of Bihia block. An FIR was lodged with the police under Bihia police station in this regard against four persons including Kanhaiya Singh, husband of the Pramukh and UP Pramukh on the statement of Vindhyachal Kumar, son of the BDC

SHO Bihia police station Uday Bhanu Singh said that the police recovered the BDC Geeta Devi from Ara railway station under Danapur rail division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur and produced her in the Ara Civil Court to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC.

Sources said that after 19 BDCs members in the Bihia block, there were nine members on both the sides, the case of kidnapping of lady BDC member had come to light. After the No-Confidence Motion was brought, two more members became hostile and joined the supporter group and now it seems that the No-Confidence Motion may fall.

A copy of No-Confidence Motion signed by the nine BDC members was given to the Bihia BDO cum Executive Officer and demanded to convene special meeting of the BDC.
