ARA----------------------------Bhojpur police recovered body of a youth from diara area of the Ganga river at Kewatiya village under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Ravi Shankar Singh 27 son of late Ras Bihari Singh of Jhaua village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur. He was a property dealer by profession. His right leg was scratched below the knee, left hand was chopped off the body and a red scar was found on his right hand. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Krishnagarh police station and the police are investigating the matter.

Rishu Kumar, elder brother of the deceased said that Ravi Shankar Singh had set out of his house saying his mother that he was going to chicken party at about 5pm on May 10, 2024 but he did not return home. The family members searched for him everywhere but in vain. Later the family members lodged an FIR with the police regarding his kidnapping. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and started searching for Ravi Shankar Singh. He blamed the friends of the deceased Anil Kumar, Gautam Singh and Sumit Srivastava of Pipara vilalge under Ara Muffassil police station for kidnapping and murder of his brother in connection with his failure of registry of a land. Later the miscreants threw the body on the bank of the river Ganga to erase evidence. Rishu Kumar further said that his brother was a property dealer. He said that the company Ravi Shankar Singh worked for had taken money from two persons but had not got the land registered. Due to which two persons had come to house about a fortnight ago and threatened him with dire consequences saying if the land was not registered, it would not be good for him and they would pick him up.

Bhojpur SP Neeraj Kumar Singh said that a police team under the Jagdishpur SDPO Rajeev Chandra Singh has been formed and the police team investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. He hoped that the police would arrest the miscreants very soon.
