BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED TWO MISCREANTS FOR MURDER

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police arrested two miscreants from Pawana village under the same police station in Bhojpur district in connection with kidnapping and murder of a person. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation. Police are still conducting raids to arrest the rest five miscreants in this regard. The arrested miscreants were identified as Karan Mahato and Suraj Kumar of Pawana village. Old enmity is said to be the cause behind the incident.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Abhishek Kumar alias Mulari 25 son of Shailesh Kumar Rai of Bara village under Sandesh Police Station had gone to his rented house at Vishnu Nagar under Nawada police station in June 19, 2024 on his motorcycle. He was returning his native village on his motorcycle the same day but he abruptly disappeared in the middle and his mobile was also switched off. The family members searched for her everywhere but in vain. His younger brother Alok Kumar lodged an FIR with the police under Pawana police station regarding kidnapping of his brother. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and recovered the body from roadside near Banahi Over Bridge under Shahpur police station and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem though his motorcycle was found from near Private Bus Stand near the New Over Bridge under Nawada police station. At that time the body was not identified. After two days the body was identified and second postmortem was done. Later the Bhojpur SP formed a police team to investigate the matter and also to arrest the miscreants. The police team following technical evidences arrested Karan Mahato and Suraj Kumar. The SP said that their role has come to the fore in the form of helping in erasing the evidences and also as liners. He further stated that during interrogation, the arrested miscreants confessed their involvement in the kidnapping and murder and also revealed names of their aides.

The family members alleged that a year ago, due to a dispute over taking away a tractor from the farm, some people were beaten up and owing to the same dispute, the murder took place.
