BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED TWO MEMBERS OF DREADED SAND MAFIA SATYENDRA PANDEY GANG, ARMS AND AMMUNITION SEIZED

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police foiled bid to commit crime and arrested two miscreants of a dreaded Santeyndra Pandey gang from Kamaluchak Sand Ghat under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district and recovered a country made pistol and 61 live cartridges from them. The arrested miscreants were identified as Prabhu Bind alias Pakaudi Bind and Jitendra Bind of Pachrukhia village under Koelwar police station. They are mainly involved in threaten the locals for sand digging. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation. Cases are pending against them since long.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that some armed miscreants had come to the Kamaluchak Diara Sand Ghat to commit crime. He at once swung into action and formed a police team under the ASP Chandra Prakash. The police conducted raid and arrested two miscreants and recovered a country made pistol and 61 live cartridges from them.

The SP said that the arrested miscreants Prabhu Bind alias Pakauda Bind and Jitendra Bind owed allegiance to the dreaded sand mafia Satyendra Pandey gang and they sometimes worked for other gang merely for money. They were involved in illegal sand mining and they forcibly dug sand from the lad of the locals and if anyone dared to oppose, they threatened them. The SP said that cases are pending against Prabhu Bind alias Pakauda Bind and the police are trying to search their criminal history. The SP further stated that names of some other miscreants have figured and the police are conducting raids to arrest them. The SP stated that the police have launched campaign against the sand mafias and recovered cache of arms and ammunition last days. Several sand mafias including Satyendra Pandey have been arrested and hundreds of truck and dozens of pokelance machines and JCB involved in illegal sand digging have been seized.
