BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED TWO MEMBERS OF ARMS SMUGGLER GANG AND SEIZED FAKE LICENSE AND REVOLVER

ARA (RNI) Patna STF and Bhojpur police arrested two members of the arms smuggling gang and seized fake license, a regular revolver and 20 live cartridges of .32 caliber from Udwantnagar police station area in Bhojpur district. The arrested members were identified as Navlesh Rai of Surangapur village under Sandesh police station and Brij Raj Rai of Purushottampur village under Bahoranpur police outpost in Bhojpur district. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Udwantnagar police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest other members of the gang.

In a press release, Bhojpur SP Mister Ran and Patna STF, said that Patna STF received confidential information that Navlesh Rai of Surangapur village under Sandesh police, member of fake arms smuggling gang was to pass through Ara-Sahar main road in a bus. The STF along with Bhojpur police intercepted the bus near Piania village and arrested Navlesh Ramj from the bus. During the search, a fake license, a regular revolver, 20 live cartridges of .32 caliber and two mobiles were also recovered from his bag. On his revelation, the police arrested Brij Raj Rai of Purushottampur village under Bahoranpur police station also a member of the gang and he was involved in making fake arms licenses. During interrogation, the arrested members of the fake arms smuggling gang revealed the name of Vishal of Chauri village, another member of the gang and the police conducting raids to arrest. The SP stated that Brij Raj Rai has criminal history and a case of attempt to murder and Arms Act is pending against him under Bahoranpur police station.
