BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED THREE MISCREANTS IN A MURDER

ARA---------------------Bhojpur police arrested three miscreants including a dreaded one in connection with the murder of Dharmendra Rai of Patna on the Koelwar Over Bridge under Kulharia police station in Bhojpur district on January 19, 2025. The arrested miscreants were identified as Kariya Mahato alias Satya Prakash son of Kamta Prasad of Ibramhimnagar under Ara town police station, Ram Lakhan alias Aman Kumar son of Kshatradhari Singh of Bagahi village under Udwantnagar police station and Pradyumn Kumar son of Rajendra Ram of Narbirpur under Chandi police station in Bhojpur district. At least eight criminal cases including murder are pending with the police under Koelwar and Ara town police stations against Kariya Mahato alias Satya Prakash and the police recently sent a proposal for an award of Rs.1 lakh on his head to the Police Headquarter. His brother Gorakh Mahato is also languishing in the Ara jail.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that Dharmendra Rai 28 son of Ram Ayodhya Rai of Dumari village under Bihata police station was shot dead on the Koelwar Over Bridge under Kulharia police station in the late evening on January 19,2025 and during investigation the gang of Gorakh Mahato had come to the fore. One Om Prakash Mahato alias Prakash Kumar of Ibrahimpur locality under Ara town police station was arrested and sent to jail earlier in this regard. The police also arrested three miscreants including Kariya Mahato in the regard and Kariya Mahato confessed during interrogation that he had killed Dharmendra Rai.
